The official governmental delegation of the Chinese Heilongjiang province will stay in Khabarovsk (a regional centre of the Russian Far East) from October 27 till October 30. The aforementioned province is located on the Amur and Ussuri rivers along the Russo-Chinese border. According to the press service of the Khabarovsk territorial administration, the delegation consists of 14 high-ranking officials led by Song Fatang, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Government. The agenda of the visit stipulates meetings with heads of territorial executive power and legislature, as well as with businessmen. The delegation will also meet with Victor Tregubov, the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Presidential Representative in the Far Eastern Federal district, and sign a memorandum stipulating regular contacts between authorities of the Khabarovsk territory and the Heilongjiang province targeted at the development of economic, scientific and cultural co-operation. The Chinese delegation is also expected to visit Birobijan and Vladivostok. "The visit of the Chinese delegation proves the continuing development of state and provincial relations based on new bilateral policies maintained by the Russian President and the Russian government," Viktor Tregubov, the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Presidential Representative, told RIA Novosti. "These are the practical steps, which will help us to implement the plans of Russian-Chinese co-operation."
