Unified Centrist Party Is Being Set Up To Consolidate Society

The unified party being set up on the basis of Unity, Fatherland and All Russia is going to be a real party of power, Sergei Shoigu, Russia's federal Emergencies Minister and leader of the Unity party, said as addressing the 2-nd congress of the Unity-Fatherland union. The unified centrist party is to become a "responsible party representing the majority of the population," the minister said emphatically. It will be actively involved in governing ensuring efficiency and responsibility of the state government, said Shoigu. Centrists, he said, are establishing this party to unite Russia. The point is, the party is going to provide an opportunity to consolidate society, said the Unity leader. It will be open for all those who have a desire to work for the good of Russia, added Sergei Shoigu.
