An informal meeting of the working group for Russia's entry into the World Trade Organisation will be held in Geneva on December 10. This was reported to journalists on Thursday by Maxim Medvedkov, Russian deputy minister for economic development and trade. He is the chief delegate at the WTO negotiations. According to him, at the fourth ministerial meeting in Doha on November 9 through 14, the Russian delegation had bilateral meetings with its trading partners who are WTO members, particularly the United States, European Union, Brazil, Bulgaria and Baltic countries. Medvedkov said that at the conference the Russian position on entering the WTO was confirmed. "In the process of its entering the World Trade Organisation Russia gives priority not to the timeframe but quality of joining", stressed Medvedkov.
