Russian-Vietnamese Oil Enterprise Marks Its 20th Anniversary

On this day twenty years ago the government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam took a decision to build an enterprise which at the present time is regarded in Vietnam as the most efficient. The Vietsovpetro is the republic's biggest company attracting foreign capital, in this case - Russian capital, and one of the biggest in Asia. It accounts for 80 percent of all the oil produced in Vietnam - in the next few days the overall oil extraction rate will make 100 million tons. The company also produced 6.4 billion cubic metres of gas. In the past ten years it yielded about ten million US dollars to the budgets of the two countries.
