Two bln. rubles (30 rubles = 1 US dollar) will be allocated in 2002 for the construction of a chemical weapons processing plant in the Gorny village, the Saratov region, Sergei Lisovski, the Industry Minister of the Saratov region who recently took part in the work of the State Commission on Chemical Disarmament, was quoted as saying on Thursday. According to him, additional 400 mln. rubles will be allocated for the federal targeted program whose budget already comprises 1,107 mln. rubles. The first Russia's chemical weapons processing plant will be put into operation in July 2002.
