The State Duma (parliament's lower chamber) of Russia included in the agenda of its today's plenary meeting a draft resolution in connection with the decision of the USA to unilaterally withdraw from the ABM Treaty of 1972. As the RIA Novosti correspondent reports, the parliamentarians intend to address the US Congress and to state its negative attitude to the actions of the US administration. As many as 269 deputies voted for including the above-said resolution in the agenda, with 226 votes being necessary for doing so. The proposal to adopt this document was advanced by chairman of the international committee of the State Duma Dmitry Rogozin. On Friday the State Duma twice rejected this initiative of Rogozin but, this notwithstanding, his insistence gained the upper hand.
