Speaking at a plenary session of the Russian-Ukrainian business forum in Kharkov, Russian President Vladimir Putin reported a 12-percent rise in bilateral turnover over the past nine months of the year in comparison with the same period last year. He also made a point of the borders between the two countries becoming ever more transparent for mutual investment and certain parameters of economic cooperation being superior to those between some European Union nations. Still, he was regretful of the fact that Ukraine was only second to Germany in economic dialogue with Russia.
