Last night sailors of the Sochi port, eastern costs of the Black Sea, and the city's fire-fighting brigades carried out a unique operation to rescue the Turkish ferry Express. The vessel flying the Cambodian flag which was sailing the Black Sea with a cargo of fruits started a leak when approaching Russia's territorial waters. The ferry entered the Sochi port on a 30-degree careen and nearly sank just near the berth. At night port workers and fire-fighters managed to unload a few heavy-duty trucks from the vessel and pump the holds dry. "Now nothing endangers the Turkish ferry," the dispatcher of the Russian port said.
