According to preliminary estimations, the volume of oil production in the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous region will amount to 192m tons in 2002, Khanty-Mansiysk regional governor Alexander Filipenko declared at a press conference organized by RosBusinessConsulting today. Among the main tasks for the next year are "efficient works with natural resources," the governor added. He also admitted the fact that the situation in the region depends on world oil prices. "It would be stupid to ignore this factor," Filipenko emphasized.
