International terrorist number one, Osama bin Laden, died of a lung disease in one of the caves of the Afghan Tora Bora district. This was said by one of the leaders of the Taliban movement in an interview to the Pakistan Observer. According the report, Osama was suffering from a complication after a lung disease and died due to the absence of the requisite medical care. Osama bin Laden’s body, according to the source, was buried in his last shelter. One of the Talibs said that there were some 30 people close to Osama participating in the funeral ceremony, including his family members.
This is not the first news about the death of the prime suspect. It was earlier said that Bin Laden died as a result of a US air raid that bombed the caves in the Tora Bora region. For the time being, it is not possible to confirm or reject the information. The Americans are most likely to try to verify the report, but the search will continue in any case until they find a body or something that was left from it. If this information is true, then Bin Laden died in a shameful way, of pneumonia, and not in a battle. There was a rumour that Bin Laden was preparing a public death for himself in front of TV cameras, but it was just a rumour.
The capture of Bin Laden is another headache to the USA. Just remember the actions of protest all over the world after Turkey started the trial on the Kurd leader Ajallan. It is easy to imagine what will happen if the USA starts a trial of Osama.
P.S. The sluggishness of the Pakistani and American special services, who are chasing the fugitive Talibs in Pakistan while one of the leaders of that movement releases such sensational statements under their very nose, is surprising. Gentlemen, do something!
