Russian Defence Minister Believes Dismissals Of Northern Fleet Officers Are Not Connected With Kursk Wreckage

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov believes that the recent dismissals of high-ranking officers in the Northern Fleet are not directly connected with the cause of the wreck of the Kursk submarine. Sergei Ivanov told reporters about it during his two-day inspection tour of the units of the Saratov region. In the opinion of the minister, these dismissals have been caused by the state of affairs in the Northern Fleet and the level of its combat readiness.
