Divers Starting Works On Kursk's Third Compartment

Friday divers are expected to start works on the Kursk's third compartment, said navy spokesman Igor Dygalo. According to him, it was decided to continue the work after weather had improved. Dygalo reaffirmed that the divers had installed 10 of 26 plugs in the holes made in the submarine's inner hull. Dygalo noted that the Giant 4 special barge was on the operation site along with Atrek and Smit Wijs sea tugs supporting its work. Divers' works are provided by the Mayo vessel. Weather in the area: wind - 6-8 m/sec, sea swell - 2 points.
