Federal Minister of Russia for Chechen matters Stanislav Iliasov does not deny it is possible that current prime minister of Chechen republic Anatoly Popov would be resigned. He commented: “This question is related to his health conditions. He is ill these days, and we can not resolve any questions without the prime minister.”
If the question would really rise, President Akhmad Kadyrov will take care of it. Iliasov says now “it is much easier to resolve staff questions than it was three years ago”.
Kadyrov appointed Edi Isaev to be an acting prime minister from the 2nd December.
Anatoly Popov now is in the central clinic of Russia. His condition’s worsening is associated with a poisoning he had before.
On the 29th of September Popov was delivered to Moscow with diagnosis “food poisoning”. Doctors thought he got a virus from watermelon. They found traces of hypotrophy poison in his system. Inspite of this, Popov returned to Chechnya to perform his duties.
