At least five Chechens, who are members of the so-called 'fedainov detachments'- volunteers from Arab legions, fighting on the side of Saddam Hussein were detained on Saturday morning on the outskirts of Baghdad. According to the British newspaper The Times, at the current time leaders of the anti-Iraq coalition are interrogating the detainees. The detainees names are being withheld.
According to Rosbalt citing sources inside the anti-Iraq coalition headquarters in Doha (Qatar), members of the 'Arab legion' were indeed detained outside Baghdad. However, no information was given about their nationalities or citizenship.
