U.S. Deliberately Strikes at Markets and Residential Districts of Baghdad

On Saturday, Iraqi ambassador to Moscow Abbas Khalaf said at a press conference that the U.S. deliberately stroke at markets and residential districts of Baghdad. According to him, by delivering strikes at markets and residential areas of Baghdad, the U.S. intends to set the city's residents against Saddam Hussein.

According to the diplomat, more than 50 people were killed as a result of the missile strike Friday night at one of the Baghdad markets. The majority of them were women and children. "We know the true objective of such U.S. 'mistakes': it wants to set Baghdad residents against Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and to weaken the Iraqis morale," the ambassador said. "But they've played a wrong card," he added.
