Little change at the top of the main European Leagues as the season gets well into its second half. Already in Spain, England and Germany we can see Barcelona, Manchester United and Bayern Munich sailing ahead on their own. Things are much tighter in Italy, France and Portugal...
La Liga 24 games

A second-half brace by Messi saw off Granada 2-1 away after Ighalo gave the home side the lead; Atlético made up for last week's defeat at Rayo Vallecano with a 3-0 win at Valladolid and Rayo went down 2-0 by 12 minutes at Real Madrid's Bernabeu Stadium.

Serie A 25 Games

Juve went down at Roma 1-0; Napoli could do no better than a home goalless draw against Sampdoria, Lazio went down 3-0 at Siena and Inter, 4-1 at Fiorentina.

Eintracht lost ground in the leading group, while teams classified 1,2,3 claimed the three points, in the case of Dortmund, against Eintracht Frankfurt (3-0). Leverkusen beat Augsburg 2-1 and Bayern travelled to Wolfsburg, returning with the spoils (2-0).
Ligue 1 25 games

FC Porto went to Aveiro to beat Beira-Mar 2-0, Benfica had a penalty awarded on 94' to beat Académica 1-0 and Paços de Ferreira continued its excellent season with a point at home against Nacional (Madeira).
