Joe Biden's misfortune: Dementia, cancer and now Covid

Joe Biden: A national tragedy that has dementia, cancer and Covid ant the same time

US President Joe Biden, who has tested positive for COVID-19, remains in stable condition, Karine Jean-Pierre, a White House official representative said.

The White House did not specify where the American president could have contracted the disease.

Joe Biden has been vaccinated twice, Jean-Pierre said. Biden was isolated in the White House, but will continue to perform all his duties remotely. Biden has mild symptoms of the disease. He started taking Paxlovid, an antiviral drug. This drug is prescribed at a high risk of severe disease.

The President of the United States passed the last negative test for COVID-19 on Tuesday, July 19.

New wave of pandemic is coming

At the end of June, Biden urged Congress to prepare for a new wave of the pandemic and plan the budget accordingly.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization, also warned about a new outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. According to him, new variations of COVID-19 omicron strain continue have been spreading around the world. The WHO recommended all countries should return to wearing masks in public places.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden said that he had cancer.

Speaking during a meeting devoted to climate change and its consequences, Biden recollected his childhood in Claymont, Delaware. He noted that there were many oil refineries in the vicinity of this city.

"My mother drove us rather than us being able to walk and guess what? The first frost, you know what was happening? You had to put on your windshield wipers to get literally the oil slick off the window. That's why I — and so damn many other people I grew up with — have cancer and why for the longest time, Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation," Biden said.

The White House press service clarified soon afterwards that Biden was referring to skin cancer that he had had removed before taking office. However, it remains unclear why Biden used Present Indefinite Tense in his remarks, The New York Post said.

Joseph Biden is 79 years old. The medical report from his personal physician, Kevin O'Connor, which was published by the White House, said that specialists continued monitoring Biden's skin condition after the removal of non-melanoma formations. There is no reason to suspect skin cancer, therefore, biopsy was not required either, the report said.

Skin cancers are extremely common among older people, especially among those who did not use sunscreens when they were young. As a rule, skin cancer does not pose a serious threat to life.

In November 2021, Biden had a 3-mm polyp removed — a tubular adenoma in the ascending colon. This is a benign tumour, but it is considered a precancerous formation and develops slowly, the doctor noted. Biden had a similar tumour removed in 2008, but the sitting US president has never had colon cancer, the report also said.

According to O'Connor, Biden suffers from atrial fibrillation, hyperlipidemia (high blood fat), gastroesophageal reflux, seasonal allergies, minor sensory neuropathy in the legs, but at the same time remains a "healthy and full of energy man" capable of performing the duties of the head of state. However, O'Connor's colleagues disagree.

"It is a national tragedy that a fragile, senile, non compos mentis old man is the president of the United States. Nevertheless, this scandalous state of affairs is downplayed so much by the Democrats, the Washington bureaucracy, and complicit press and social media outlets that Biden and many around him — Harris included — still speak seriously about Biden seeking a second term in 2024," Physician C. J. Baker wrote.

Dr. C. J. Baker, in an article for American Thinker, opined that Biden might not live to see his second term if re-elected. The specialist believes that the president's dementia is progressing, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for his entourage to hide it by handing him cue cards. On average, after dementia diagnosis, a person may live for a little more than four years.

Christopher J. Baker is a member of the American Association and Congress of Neurosurgeons, a winner of awards for achievements in cerebral vessels and neurosurgery studies, a brain damage specialist.

Biden's popularity melts like snow

On July 20, it became known that only 36 percent of Americans support Biden's actions. This is the lowest in 19 months. The politician lost three percent of support in one week. Joe Biden has been losing votes due to uncontrolled inflation, which has reached a forty-year high, as well as due to rising prices on food and fuel. Biden's ambiguous statements and strange behaviour also affect his popularity.

Biden's careless statements affect foreign policy. For example, his remarks about the need to protect Taiwan have aggravated relations between Beijing and Washington. The White House had to make excuses. Joe Biden also failed his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, where he reminded Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman about the murder of The Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Earlier, Biden claimed that it was Bin Salman who had personally ordered to kill the journalist.
