Soccer chatter: Beckham to sign for QPR?

Is David Beckham preparing to make a move back to the premiership after leaving LA Galaxy? There are rumours that new Queen's Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp, who was linked with a possible Becks transfer when he was at Tottenham Hotspur FC, would welcome the midfield player into his struggling side.

To date, Redknapp has said that "it would be great" to have Beckham around. However, he admits the first priority is a striker, because Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson are both carrying long-term injuries.

Out of QPR may be the midfield player Adel Taarabt, who Redknapp sold from Spurs while manager there (a club he took from bottom of the table to the Champions League in two seasons). Manchester United have shown interest in the 23-year-old player. Another player that Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be eyeing up for the January transfer window is the 27-year-old Everton and England player Leighton Baines, a left back.

Another player with possible links to United is the Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder, 28, currently playing at Inter Milan but who has also attracted the attention of rivals AC. United main rivals City are looking to bring Shakhtar Donetsk Brazilian forward Willian, 24, to the Etihad Stadium. Another player Roberto Mancini wants at Manchester City is the Roma midfield player Deniele de Rossi, 29.

From AC Milan, a possible transfer back to Brazil is the attacking player Robinho, 28 while rumour has it that Luis Suarez,25, may be a target for Chelsea FC, hoping to bring him to the capital from Liverpool, having a disappointing season so far.
