Russia's third Gold medal came today and yet again in the Men's Judo, along with four more Silvers and four Bronze medals. Four World Records fell today, as did six Olympic Records, in a total of 12 World Records and 34 Olympic Records in the London 2012 Games by Day Six.
Tagir Khaibulaev won Russia's third Gold medal, also in the Men's Judo -100 Kg. Beating Mongolia's Tuvshinbayar Naidan. Four Silver medals were won by Russia today - two in Women's Fencing, one in Men's Diving and the other in Women's Gymnastics.
Sofya Velikaya won the Silver in the Women's Individual Sabre and Russia also got the Silver in the Women's Team Foil (Deriglazova, Gafurzianova, Shanaeva and Korobeynikova). In the Men's Synchronised Diving, Silver went to Evgeny Kutnetsov and Ilya Zakharov and the fourth Silver of the day came in the Women's Artistic Gymnastics (Women's Individual All-Round) - Viktoria Komova.
Bronze medals went to Aliya Mustafina (Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual All-Round; Iuliya Efimova in the Women's Swimming, 200metres breaststroke; Vasily Mosin in the Men's Shooting Double Trap; Olga Zabelinskaya in Women's Cycling, Individual Time Trial.

Olympic Soccer: Quarter-finals
One European side is in the last eight of the Men's Soccer quarter-finals: the host country, Great Britain. The other seven contenders are Japan and Rep. Korea; Egypt and Senegal; Mexico, Honduras and Brazil.
