Soccertalk: Transfer mania

Soccertalk: Transfer mania. 45724.jpegAs the January transfer window nears, we take a look at the latest soccertalk about the deals lining up and the shock and awe looming on the horizon, as we track Carlos Tevez from the doldrums at Manchester City to a possible southern European venue at Roma.

AS Roma, Serie A, Italy...looking for a way up the table. Currently ninth after eight games, with 11 points, nine goals in favour and eight against; won 3, drawn 2, lost 3, Roma is looking at Manchester United's central defender Rio Ferdinand, whose massive experience would be tremendous added value not only for the back four but also for the boot room and also Manchester City's troubled striker Carlos Tevez, who is at present sidelined at Eastlands due to an attitude problem but who would bring extra firepower to "I Lupi" (The Wolves).

However there is another club interested in Carlos Tevez, Corinthians, from Brazil, which has been tracking the Argentine for several months. The point on the table is City's asking price of 40 million GBP (45 million Euro).

Moving the other way, from Italy to Manchester City, may be Cagliari's midfield player Radja Nainggolan

Manchester City have emerged as contenders to sign Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan, Belgian international, in the January transfer window.
