New evidence of Stalin repressions discovered in St.Petersburg

St.Petersburg law enforcement officers discovered a very sensational find, which is probably just another mass burial place situated near the Russia’s northern capital. Members of the Memorial searching group suppose that mass shootings had been executed in the Rzhevsky artillery range in 1937-38.

According to provisional and not yet confirmed information, about 30,000 people are lying in the burial place. Several large areas of common graves have been already determined. Remains found prove that the people had died of shooting. Experts say, the shots in the back of the people’s heads had been executed from 45 caliber guns which used to be adopted by the Soviet  People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs.

As of now, several graves have been already inspected,  a more detailed investigation of the area is to start very soon. However, there is another problem: the mass burial place is situated in the functioning Rzhevsky artillery range, which is confirmed by modern unexploded  mines and shells. Besides, no official evidence has been found yet to confirm that mass shooting had been executed in the range in 1937-38.  A special searching group consisting of forensic medical experts, geographers, ballisticians and soil scientists has been already created. Probably, the fact of mass shootings executed in the artillery range in 1937-38 will be soon confirmed.
