Brothel Client Rescues Young Woman from Sex Slavery

The Moscow police rescued a young woman from sex slavery in Russia's capital on July 30. The woman had been kept in a brothel since the end of May. A compassionate client agreed to help the woman as he delivered her help note to the police.

The woman, named only as Anastasia, or Nastya for short, found herself in sex slavery two months ago, after she had arrived in Moscow with a hope to work as a waitress in an expensive Moscow restaurant. A young man was supposed to meet the girl on Kursky Railway Station, but she could not reach him on his cell phone upon the arrival. A stranger approached Anastasia later and offered her a tour of Moscow. The man forced the woman into the car and took her to Avtozavodskaya Street.

Afterwards, the man told Anastasia that she would have to follow him into the apartment building. Two other men appeared, Nastya attempted to show resistance and escape, but the criminals hit the woman hard in the face and dragged her into their apartment.

"The woman found herself in a luxury three-room apartment, which was designed as a brothel. She was forced to perform sexual favors on clients along with seven other women. In addition, the owners of the brothel told her that she would have to repay her 30,000-ruble debt ($1,000) for her nude portfolio, food and accommodation in the apartment. The criminals regularly beat and abused the woman to break her will," a police officer said.

The nightmare continued till the day, when Nastya had to serve a 40-year-old man.

"Unlike other clients, the man developed affection with the young woman. He later said that his 17-year-old sister had been a prisoner of a rapist for several months," an official said.

The man decided to help Nastya and promised to take her note to the police. "I'm being kept on this address…Please, help, I'm begging you!!!" the woman wrote.

The police freed all the woman working at the brothel and arrested its two owners. The two men, aged 36, came to Moscow from the town of Lugansk.
