Hominids talked 500 000 years ago

Specialists from the Spanish University of Alcala made a sensational discovery: it can totally change our perception of human evolution.

Spanish scientists found out that first hominid species could in fact express themselves out loud rather audibly 500 000 years ago. Earlier, it was assumed that people first learned to talk with each other only 160 000 years ago.

The new data was received after a thorough examination of five ancient skulls. Apparently, speech apparatus of those early hominids had been developed well enough to enable oral communication.

It is a known fact that development of one's speech apparatus is directly connected to one's intellect. Therefore, our ancestors turned out to be quite advanced. Spanish scientists however still have loads of research work ahead of them before they could prove their hypothesis.
