Archeologists discovered prehistoric rock sculptures near the village of Snidavka, Ukraine, specialists of the Institute of History and Science of Politics of the Carpathian National University said.
Scientists compare the prehistoric rock sculptures with the British Stonehenge, although they do not know the origin of the sculptures yet. They only say that similar constructions have been found in Portugal and Ireland only.
Ten rarities made of rocks have been found yet. A giant 14-meter sculpture of a pregnant woman is the most valuable archeological find.
Village residents say that Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, who often visits the Carpathian Mountains, has already seen the unique sculptures.
The director of the above-mentioned institute, Nikolai Kugutyak, believes that the sculptures are five or six thousand years old.
