An exposition of the Murmansk Region has begun in Sweden. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the press office of the local government, this exposition in Sweden is being accompanied by talks between Governor of the Murmansk Region Yuri Yevdokimov and governors of the Norrbotten and Westerbotten provinces as well as the Swedish foreign minister and Swedish business representatives.
The main areas of discussion will be new developments in Northern Europe, investment prospects in the Murmansk Region and Swedish business experience on the Kola peninsular.
Mr Yevdokimov is planning to sign a trilateral agreement between the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate, the Murmansk Region and the Northern Federal Enterprise for the Treatment of Radioactive Waste on the use of solid radioactive waste currently stored on the Kola peninsular.
