Bin Ich Krank? Nein, Nein

The story about Federation Council speaker Sergei Mironov who was treated in Central Clinic Hospital

This is the fate of all high state functionaries: the whole life of them is public. Any statement and action of them will be for sure subjected to ostracism. And if somebody of them sneezed or coughed, he could easily consider himself to be dead. At least, when somebody reads about his death in a newspaper, he himself will believe in his death.

The third most important person of the state, Federation Council speaker Sergei Mironov made a mistake. Yesterday, information agencies reported the following: January 2-9, 2003, the Federation Council chairman, Sergei Mironov was treated in Central Clinic Hospital for catarrhal illness. This is what official report of the Federation Council press service reads. Since January 10, Mironov is in his office and works according in his ordinary routine.

So, there seems to be nothing extraordinary, just a cold. And this is easy to believe, taking into account today’s fast weather change in Moscow. But, there is some “though.”

The spokesperson for Sergei Mironov, Lyudmila Fomicheva flatly denies the report of the Federation Council press service. According to her information, Sergei Mironov has not been hospitalized. So, such a discrepancy. The wish of both press services to rehabilitate the chief and speaker is understandable. Though, I still would like to wish Sergei Mironov good health. Take care of you!
