A Russia-France aviation forum will begin at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair on September 23. The Nizhny Novgorod Regional Administration's press service told Rosbalt's correspondent that over 30 French companies, specializing in various aspects of aircraft building, will take part in the forum.

Russia will be represented at the forum by 27 companies from the aviation sector, including companies from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Kazan, Ufa, Saratov, Cheboksar and Rostov-on-Don. The Russian contingent will include six firms from the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The press service noted that in recent years cooperation between Russia and France in the aircraft construction and equipment industry has significantly increased. Aviation seminars which are taking place in Moscow from September 18 to 27 and in Nizhny Novgorod from September 23 to 25 will help strengthen ties between representatives of the two countries' aviation industries and allow an exchange of experience and knowledge.

The initiators of the forum were the French association of aviation and space companies GIFAS and the Russian aviation and space agency Rosaviakosmos.
