Dear Sirs,
People kiss with their eyes closed because they are focusing on the sense of touch and do not want visual stimulae to minimize it. Even cats and dogs lick with their eyes closed for the same reason. This is pretty old knowledge. It was first recorded in one of the works of Ovid in about 300BC. Since then, I am sure that hundreds if not thousands of other authors have mentionned it. The next time you want to find out something like why people kiss with their eyes closed do not look to scientists, they do not and cannot read. Look to someone in literature with a background in the study of old writings.
