So NATO is concerned that Russia has become involved in Syria. Is NATO concerned because Russia is actually bombing Islamic State instead of standing back while it spreads, or instead of mysterious unmarked aircraft dropping supplies to it, or is NATO concerned because Russia is targeting terrorists supported by the West?
Does NATO these days really believe it has an iota of credibility, when a growing number of political formations across Europe are questioning the constitutionalityof its existence (how Constitutional is it to have foreign policy dictated by a supra-national organism which picks fights depending on which way the wind is blowing in Washington?) and when a growing number of political formations in Europe are discriminated against simply because they question the minimum requirement for government, which is to support NATO? Support NATO and its budget, of course. And let us not forget that the collective budget of NATO member states is some 1.2 trillion USD, that is one point two thousand billion dollars per year each and every year.
Does NATO believe that anyone actually listens to a word it says when all it does is stage displays of hysterical sabre rattling and make anachronistic references to Cold War days? Remember when NATO waltzed into Kosovo, backed armed terrorists, who were cutting the organs out of Serbs and selling them, who were attacking the Serbian police and military, and then strafed civilians with depleted uranium?
Remember when certain NATO countries lied, entered Iraq, destroyed the State, doled out rebuilding contracts without tender, targeted civilian utilities with military hardware, left swathes of the country radioactive, up to a million people dead, and thousands of children seriously deformed?
Remember when NATO committed war crimes in Libya (See this) and breached the conditions of UNSC Resolutions 1970 and 1973 (2011), strafed civilian structures with military aircraft, actively engaged in an internal civil war caused by NATO itself, remember when NATO targeted the electricity grid and the water supply network, then bombed the pipes factory so that the pipeline could not be repaired, "to break their backs"?
Remember when NATOinterfered in Ukraine and backed a Fascist coup which illegally ousted the democratically elected President, and masterminded a take-over by terrorists and thugs who boasted of links to al-Qaeda and then perpetrated massacres of Russian-speaking Ukrainians in Donbass?
Remember NATO's reaction when Georgialaunched a murderous attack against Russians then together with its wonderful NATO military advisors got the living crap smacked out of it by the Spetznaz?
And now we see NATO, after entering Iraq and destabilizing Syria by backing terrorists, standing back and watching as Islamic State has created Hell on Earth in the areas it controls, also backing other terrorist forces, and now complaining that Russia is combatting...terrorists.
What is it with NATO and terrorists? Is the message "Hey! Please don't bomb our terrorists"? In one week Russia has inflicted more damage on Syrian terrorist forces than the West in one year of fiddling around. And now, NATO "retaliates" by placing more targets in the Baltic States for Russian missiles, as if any Russian anywhere had any issue at all with the Baltic States. Who cares? These States had the worst Fascist record in Europe when it came to concentration camps and have endemically had a chip on their shoulder about Russia, as Napoleonhad, as Hitler had.
Maybe NATO would like to bring it on. Ask Hitler and Napoleon first.
