Russian minister of economic development and trade German Gref believes that differences between WTO member countries do not threaten the existence of this organization.
"Globalization and the striving to settle trade and economic problems are the present-day world tendencies, and the WTO is the only instrument today for achieving this settlement. The countries' stances do not always coincide. The developing countries have begun to clearly understand their interests, and there exist various opinions which is normal for any negotiation process," Gref commented on the results of the latest WTO session on Tuesday.
"I do not think that this instrument (WTO) may be destroyed, it may be replaced but not destroyed," the minister said.
