Belarus seeking partnership relations with NATO

Belarus seeks to make its relations with NATO a partnership relations policy, instead of a confrontation policy, said the Belarussian foreign ministry's press service secretary Pavel Latushko on Thursday.

Belarus must take into account new notions that are appearing in Europe, Latushko believes. Yet "radical change of our approach to cooperation with NATO is not at issue." "Our foreign policy line will remain multi-vector one," he stressed. "Belarus will individually define the program of its cooperation with the NATO, working within the 'Partnership for peace' program and the Council of the Euro-Atlantic partnership".
