Presidents Of Russia And USA On The Importance Of Joining Efforts To Combat Terrorism

According to a statement adopted by the presidents of Russia and the USA to sum up the results of their Sunday talks in Shanghai, China, "the world community at large must join efforts to retaliate against new terrorist challenges and threats on the basis of international law and full involvement of the United Nations." In their statement, Vladimir Putin and George W. Bush called on all countries in the world to "join the steadfast global coalition and help defeat international terrorism." In their opinion, countries must employ all diplomatic, political, financial and military means available and engage their law enforcement agencies and secret services to eradicate terrorists and their sponsors and make all those guilty answerable.
