Iran stands for the formation of a coalition government in Afghanistan, Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi told journalists on Friday after his meeting with Tajikistan's President Emomali Rakhmonov. The foreign minister said the future Afghan government must include representatives of all tribes and peoples inhabiting Afghanistan. At the same time, he spoke out against the Taliban's participation in the future government. "The Taliban are unacceptable to Iran," he said. Asked about Iran's attitude to the U.S. retaliatory strikes at Afghanistan, Kamal Kharrazi said that the positions of Iran and the United States on this issue differ. "We are not opposed to anti-terrorist struggle, but we are opposed to the killing of the civilian population," he said.
