International Conference "restructuring Of Military- Civil Relations In Russia And CIS Countries" To Open In Moscow

The international conference on the theme The Military and Society: Time of Change. Restructuring of Military-Civil Relations in Russia and CIS Countries is opening in Moscow on Wednesday. As the RIA Novosti correspondent reports, the conference is held by the Federation of Peace and Accord, the Political and International Research Centre and the Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces. Taking part in it will be the leading specialists on the problems of security policy and settlement of conflicts from Russia, the USA, Germany, Poland and the CIS countries. As the organisers of the conference plan, an international research group named The Military and Society will be set up in the course of it. It will operate on a long-term basis under the direction of the Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces. The conference will end on October 20.
