Vladimir Putin states that Russia is ready to make its contribution to the stabilisation of the world economy against the background of "the temporary recession" after the terrorist attacks on the United States. As RIA Novosti reports, the Russian President said this at a news conference after his negotiations with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. "We do not exaggerate our possibilities, but we can ensure stable deliveries of energy supplies to Europe," said Vladimir Putin. As to Russia's contribution to the international efforts in combating terrorism, "it was announced on Russian television several days ago," the President pointed out. Vladimir Putin believes that "this may lead to neutralising especially odious international terrorists."
