During his visit to Russia on November 4-7, Indian Premier Atal Bihari Vajpayee is expected to sign several documents on purchasing the Russian Admiral Gorshkov cruiser-carrier, MiG AT training aircraft and spare parts for military hardware and equipment. This information was provided by the Asian Age newspaper, which referred to a source in the Defence Ministry. The Russian and Indian sides are currently discussing the price of the contract on purchasing the cruiser-carrier which will be used for the deployment of two squadrons of the MiG-29S fighters. According to the Asian Age, the price of the aforementioned contract may comprise of more than 2 bln. dollars. In addition, the sides will discuss the implementation of projects on the joint production of the Il-214 military transport aircraft and the development of the fifth generation aircraft.
