The Israeli troops invaded the territory of the Palestinian National Authority in the north of the Gaza Strip on the night of Wednesday. The RIA Novosti correspondents report referring to the Palestinian news agency that the Israeli troops supported by intensive fire from machine-guns and tank guns managed to move several hundreds of meters into the towns of Beit Lahia and Beit Hanun. One of the shells hit the main electricity supply centre of the Gaza Strip's northern district after which electricity supply was cut off. Witnesses say that the Israeli tanks are moving in the direction of the Gabon village in the north of Beit Lahia, firing at dwelling houses. The damage was done to dwelling houses and one car burnt. No casualties among the civilians have been reported yet.
