Afghan emigrants of Russia and ethnic Afghans permanently living in Russia have issued an address to the UN security council, offering their assistance regarding the settlement of the Afghan crisis. General Ghulam Hassan heading the Afghan diaspora in Moscow told about this to RIA Novosti. He stressed that Russia and other former Soviet republics housed dozens of thousands of Afghans, dominated by well-educated people and specialists in various fields. They all deem it their legal and natural right to participate in the process of re-building the Afghan state, said the head of Moscow's Afghan diaspora. According to him, in their address to the UN, Russian Afghans urge to take into consideration that they are willing to take an active part in the peace process.
