Cooperation Between NATO And Russia Is Of Primary Importance Today And In Future, Says President Of Macedonia

Intensive political, strategic and military cooperation between NATO and Russia is of primary importance today and in the future, said president of Macedonia Boris Trajkowski speaking at the NATO Council in the headquarters of the alliance. According to him, the need for such cooperation is dictated by the fact that America, Europe and Russia formed a core of a coalition aimed against international terrorism. Cooperation between NATO and Russia, Trajkowski believes, is one of the geostrategic conclusions arising from the situation obtained in the world after acts of terror in the USA on September 11. Trajkowski also declared that Macedonia planned to join NATO and pledged to make all possible efforts to become a serious candidate.
