On Thursday, a US serviceman stationed in Uzbekistan died of a bullet wound that the Pentagon believes to have had nothing to do with military action and might have been suicide, NBC TV channel cited an official source in the Bush administration as saying. The incident is under investigation, the source told NBC, adding that the soldier's name would not be made public until the death was reported to his family. According to NBC, it is the sixth death of an American in the region since the beginning of the US military campaign in Afghanistan on October 7.
