Bosnia and Herzegovina regards Russia as a traditional friend and partner in the political, trade and economic spheres, premier-cum-foreign minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija told a press conference in Moscow last Tuesday. According to him, his government's activity is aimed at creating a united multiethnic state in Bosnia and Herzegovina where manifestations of ethnic and religious intolerance would be inadmissible. He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina should become a factor of stability in the Balkans, and Russia greatly contributes to this. Lagumdzija expressed hope that all-round cooperation with Russia will be developed and strengthened, especially in the economic sphere where the two countries' potential was not used to the full. He pointed to the personal contribution of Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov to stabilisation of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region as a whole.
