IAEA inspectors have returned to Iraq's nuclear facility Al-Tuwithi, 20 kilometres south of Baghdad, following their first visit on December 4th.
The Al Tuweithi nuclear plant was once the centre of Iraq's nuclear programme, including its officially hushed-up part, while now, according to IAEA group chief Jacques Baute, many of its 100 buildings, if not the largest part, have been fully destroyed.
The first inspection was a fact-finding one on the nature of work carried out there; the purpose of the second one is unknown for the time being.
