The 163rd Moscow metropolitan station will be opened on December 12th. Located in the south of the capital, where many apartment blocks have been built in recent years, the station has received the name Annino after a village, which used to be on the site. The new station is on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line, which runs from the city's northeast to the south. The Moscow metro boasts 11 lines in all, while its twelfth is under construction. According to the information of the city government, about 300 billion rubles (about 100 million dollars) have been invested in the metropolitan's expansion. The same figure is to be invested in the project next year.
