Russia To Set Up Aeromobile Rescue Teams

Russia's Emergencies Ministry is setting up six aeromobile rescue groups, which will be equipped with Be-200 amphibian planes and Ka-226 helicopters. Next year the ministry will also continue work to establish monitoring and forecasting centres in six of Russia's regions. The ministry and the fire-fighting service will take further steps to create a ramified and highly effective single state rescue service.
