Yulia Fomina, the stewardess who was killed during the last week’s incident with the hijacked Tu-54 airliner, is to burred later today at the Pykhtino cemetery, near the Vnukovo-1 airport, near the city of Moscow, Aleksandr Klimov, managing director of the Vnukovskiye Avialinii airline is quoted by RIA Novosti as saying. Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a wire of condolences to Mrs. Fomina’s relatives and close ones. The Transportation Ministry has forwarded to the president a relation of conferring the Order of Courage on Mrs. Fomina posthumously. The airliner, aboard of which she was killed, will be bearing her name, her family to be compensated – the decision was taken by the airline’s management. According to Ekho Moskvy radio, the Moscow city administration considers naming one of Moscow streets or squares after her and also presenting her family with a new 4-room apartment.
