Dollar Rate Continues Rising Today

The dollar exchange rate continues surging on Monday, October 29. The low was 29.67 rubles, which is 0.04 rubles higher than the official dollar exchange rate for today. The high reached 29.68 rubles, and the dollar exchange rate approached a level of 29.7 rubles. Commenting on a rise in the dollar exchange rate, which continued four days in a row, a bank expert noted in an interview with RBC that one-day ruble credit rates are low on the interbank market and reach only 3 or 4 per cent for large banks and 4 or 5 per cent for medium-sized and small banks now. The analyst did not exclude that the Central Bank was buying hard currency in the morning today in order to sell $50 million later today on an auction for non-residents.
