Vladimir Putin Hails Ratification By Ukrainian Parliament Of Three Agreements With Russia On Natural Gas

Vladimir Putin has hailed the ratification by the Ukrainian Supreme Rada of three agreements with Russia in "the sphere of gas." "As a matter of fact this marks the end of that great work which we conducted together with our Ukrainian colleagues in the past twelve-eighteen months," said the Russian President at a traditional conference in the Kremlin with members of the Cabinet. According to Vladimir Putin, now all Russian-Ukrainian agreements "have received a legal foundation," and in this way "a good basis has been created for adopting annual protocols in this sphere." Thus, summed up the President, "we can say that the problem in the sphere of energy has been solved."
