The flood in Southern provinces of Vietnam has claimed the life of 302 people, including 238 children. The Mekong river is currently having the highest water level in its delta over the past 50 years. In some places it is 25 cm higher than that of the last year, which is considered the highest level over the whole period of meteorological survey in Vietnam. This year, floods hardest hit two Southern provinces, where the death toll reached 104 people, including 82 children. Rescue works are continuing.
