A Russian Tu-154 passenger jetliner crashed in the Donetsk region of Ukraine in the area of Sukhaya Balka settlement Tuesday at 4:25 p.m. Moscow time. The plane disappeared from radar screens a little bit earlier, an official of the Donetsk region Emergency Ministry told Interfax. The official did not specify, though, whether it was a passenger plane and where it was flying to.

According to preliminary information, there were 160 passenger and ten members of the crew on board the plane, Itar-Tass reports. According to latest news reports, the plane was flying from the Russian resort city of Anapa to St.Petersburg. The plane belonged to Pulkovo Airlines. The plane sent out an SOS signal at 3:37 p.m. The crashing site has been detected. More information coming soon.
