Al-Jazeera will not act as an intermediary in negotiations with terrorists in Beslan
In his interview to Russian rasio station “Echo of Moscow” head of the Moscow bureau of Qatar-based television channel Al-Jazeera Akram Hazam has denied all facts concerning the channel’s intentions to act as an intermediary in negotiations with the terrorists that had seized a school in the Northern Ossetian town of Beslan.
According to an earlier report by chief of the republican FSB Department of North Ossetia Valery Andreev, Arabic information television channels Al-Alam and Al-Jazeera offered their help in establishing contact with terrorists. According to Hazam, this information is false and has nothing to do with reality, due to the fact that “Al-Jazeera does journalism, not politics.”
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said during a meeting with journalists that Kyiv could be Russia's ultimate goal in the special military operation in Ukraine
